The set up may be good but the swing is garbage...Step 7 is terrible, 6:34 right elbow has flown out and starting down he casts the club from the top considerably (pause at 6:37) losing the right angle between the lead arm and the club which = fat and thin shots and no power at all

I am aware of that but as he could only play few tournaments a year and not the PGA at all due to his legs not being able to stand up to the matchplay format then I would think it hindered his performance somewhat do you not think? He won 6 majors as semi-cripple and partial sight in his leading eye and was 2nd in a few others - not a bad indicator of what a fully fit man might have achieved imo.

I presume you are aware that you couldn't clean your ball on the green until 1971? And you cannot ignore technology, again especially where the ball and the shafts are concerned. Having said that I think we can be confident that Hogan and Woods would dominate in each other's eras but don't underestimate Hogan, without his accident who knows how many majors he would have won.

He is amazing. I love Robin Williams. There are those people who are considered good actors, or more, like Denzel. But, if you watch Denzel in one movie, you've seen him in the rest. Same tone, same type of character.. this is with A LOT of actors. thnkas for the help but believe it or not i had a ball speed of 165 mph! at 14! it didnt feel like i was swinging "out of my shoes" but then i saw it on video and i could clearly see i was trying to kill the ball. so i backd my ball speed down to about 140 and shot 69 couple days ago at jerricho cc. tough course. im playing in a tourney tomorrow so wish me luck!

Hey there Hank. I'm not a big golfer, but I like it and try to learn every time I golf. From my experience, I would say that your problem is you're moving your hip to the left when the club passes the point where the ball is initially resting. That is, try not moving your hip too much and also ginz14's advice on turning your leading foot slighty sould also be helpful.

To sum of your question. The #'s on the clubs represents differences between clubs in length and loft . In other words, each club has different length and loft. Lower the # longer in length and less loft thus hit further but lower. General info only. Driver (1 wood) - most are 45" in length and 8.5 - 13 degree in loft. 7 iron - 36.75" in length and 35 degree. 9 iron - 35.75 in length and 43 degree. There's a .5" difference between the clubs and designed to hit ~10yds different between them.

The number's are for reference. It give's you something to remember for distance. Everyone hit's club's differnet distances. But, after you figure out how far you hit each club for instance you would say well I'm 150 yards out so I'll hit a 7 iron and so on.

To the haters....gotta remember, this was made when everything was slower paced. Humor was presented slower, dramatics were built up slower. Now, the pace is much faster...it takes a constant barrage of stimuli for our shortened attention spans. Watch a Marx Brothers comedy, or a feature-length Laurel and Hardy film to see what I mean. I love all those guys but so many today think they're not funny due to the changed pace. When actually, it was the best ever made - those comedians back then.
